 Meet Koko, a sensitive, sweet girl who has come such a long way since being rescued and is now looking for a calm, patient home where she can continue to blossom.

🐾 Personality & Temperament 🐾

Koko is a truly wonderful girl with a sweet and affectionate personality. She absolutely loves going for walks and enjoys getting out, exploring and spending quality time with her people. 

She has a calm, shy nature but with the right environment, we believe she will continue to grow in confidence and become an incredibly loving companion. With those she trusts, Koko loves strokes, cuddles and plenty of affection and will happily soak up all the attention ❤️

Koko has been through a lot in her early life, so she can be cautious and shy with people she doesn’t know. When unfamiliar people visit the pansion, she may move away or growl because she feels unsure and does not yet trust them. This is fear and distrust rather than aggression; she does not try to attack or bite and instead chooses to create distance when she feels uncomfortable.

With people she knows and trusts, we see a very different side of Koko. She enjoys cuddles and loves having one-to-one time with her favourite people. She can be a little jealous when other dogs come over for attention, which is why we feel she would be happiest as the only dog in her forever home, where she can enjoy having all the love and attention to herself. She is not looking to cause trouble with other dogs, she simply wants her people all to herself!

Koko absolutely loves spending quality time with her people. She is calm by nature and with the right environment, we believe she will continue to grow in confidence and become an incredibly loving companion. Koko has made so much progress since arriving in our care in May 2026. She simply needs someone willing to be patient and allow her trust to develop naturally. In return, she has so much love to give 💜

📖 Koko’s Story 📖

Koko was found living on the streets as a young pup, where she was sadly being attacked by other street dogs. She was then taken from the streets to live on somebody’s land that has since been sold from beneath her – leaving Koko and multiple other dogs abandoned with nowhere to go. 

Thankfully, space was secured for the dogs at the pansion and they were moved to safety in May 2026. After such a difficult start to life, Koko finally had the chance to decompress. Since arriving at the pansion she has made wonderful progress. She is still cautious with unfamiliar people, but she is becoming more trusting with those she knows and is showing more of her sweet personality every day. Koko also has a slightly crooked right leg. This causes her absolutely no problems. She walks normally, has no difficulty getting around and it does not affect her quality of life in any way.

Now, Koko is ready for the next step in her journey: a quiet forever home with kind, patient people who will give her the time and reassurance she needs to feel safe. She may need a little time to come out of her shell, but once she trusts you, Koko has so much affection to give.
