🐾 Personality & Temperament 🐾

Jackie is an incredibly happy, loving and affectionate girl who absolutely adores people. She loves being stroked, cuddled and held, and will happily soak up all the attention. She has a wonderfully affectionate nature and really enjoys being around people.

She is also a very lively and playful girl who loves to run, explore and play. Having spent so long in a shelter environment, Jackie can be very excitable and has lots of energy to burn. She would really benefit from an active adopter who can give her plenty of opportunities to exercise and explore outdoors.

Jackie loves carrying stuffed toys in her mouth and has a fun, youthful personality. She is very social with other dogs and really enjoys their company. She also shows a strong interest in birds and wildlife and will attempt to chase them if given the opportunity.

Jackie can get very excited when greeting people and does like to jump up for attention. This is clearly out of excitement and affection and she does settle once she has calmed down. She would benefit from continuing to learn from adopters who can gently and consistently help her with this.

Because of her current jumping and high energy levels, we would not recommend Jackie for a home with small children. With time, exercise and the opportunity to settle into a home environment, she may be able to live happily alongside older children.

Jackie has a medium-to-large frame but is very lean and light. She also has the sweetest little polka-dot markings on her belly and paws, inherited from her English Setter mum 💜🐾

📖 Jackie’s Story 📖

Jackie was born into a litter on the streets of Ub village. Her mother is an English Setter, so Jackie is an English Setter Mix. She was rescued alongside her mother and brothers by a Whispaws’ trustee and taken to safety at a shelter in Ub. 

Over time, Jackie’s family began finding their forever homes. A year later, they had all been adopted, leaving Jackie as the last of her little family still waiting for a home.

Jackie has now spent 2.5 years at the shelter, having a safe and loving home where she can relax, explore and receive plenty of one-to-one attention would make such a difference to her.

Despite everything, Jackie remains an incredibly happy and affectionate girl. She has so much love to give and would adore a family who will make her part of their everyday life.

Jackie is ready for her next chapter. She just needs someone to give her the chance 💜
