Meet Olive

Olive was rescued from a government pound – scared, withdrawn, and in desperate need of care. She was one of three small dogs saved together, all of whom were diagnosed with distemper and treated in hospital isolation. Sadly, one of the three, little Willow, was too malnourished and mistreated to recover. Her loss was deeply felt.

Olive and her companion Mabel survived. Later, it was discovered that Mabel was pregnant. She gave birth to three puppies, two of whom – Reggie and Ronnie – are now on their way into foster care in the UK. The third puppy sadly passed away in the early weeks of life. Mabel has since been adopted, and Olive is currently preparing to travel into UK foster care at the time of writing.

Olive has experienced significant stress and trauma, and she needs a calm, stable environment where she can fully relax and decompress. She can be overwhelmed by busy surroundings and too much attention, but with just one or two gentle, patient people around her, she settles beautifully.

Fully recovered from distemper with no lasting effects, Olive is also in good health following the resolution of a small lump that has since disappeared, with scans showing no ongoing concerns.

Now, Olive needs the chance to truly heal – physically, emotionally, and mentally. A quiet, loving home where she can feel safe and secure would allow her to blossom into the happy, peaceful companion she is meant to be.
