Meet Dorothy and Betty

Meet Dorothy and her daughter Betty! A devoted mother-daughter duo who’ve survived the streets and stayed side by side through it all.

Dorothy was found living rough with her two puppies, with no shelter and only scraps to eat. She and her little family were eventually discovered during our Whispaws street feeding campaign, and we began feeding them regularly while searching for a safe solution. Sadly, before we could intervene, one of her puppies went missing.

As soon as space opened up, Dorothy and her remaining pup Betty were brought into Pansion care. Thankfully, both were negative for any serious medical issues and have since gone from strength to strength, supported by our team and the kindness of Whispaws donors. They now receive monthly preventative care to keep them happy and healthy.

Dorothy and Betty are truly inseparable. They’re a tight-knit team, completely devoted to one another. Our dream would be to see them adopted together however because of their strong bond, they would thrive best as the only dogs in the home.

While they are friendly with other dogs and play nicely in a group outdoors, Dorothy is understandably protective of her daughter, mainly around overly energetic dogs. At home they would be best suited to their own space and family.

Dorothy is a gentle and grateful soul, and Betty is a sweet, playful young pup who adores her mum.
